Cinderella Project to help community
Student Leadership Council, sponsored by sophomore Principal Michael McGehee, brings together student leaders from various organizations at MHS to make a difference in their community.
“It’s a way for students to reach out,” said Nadia Pourdavarani, junior. “We’re trying to create big events at MHS.”
Aminah Yossef, senior, said Student Leadership Council is holding a drive for the Cinderella Project, which donates old homecoming and prom dresses to girls in need.
“We’re collecting used prom and homecoming and formal dresses for girls at MHS,” Yossef said. “We want to make every girl’s prom as special as it can be.”
Dresses can be dropped off at the sophomore office through March 13.
“Please reach out and donate,” Yosseff said. “We want this to be such a big event and be really homegrown. We want everyone at MHS’s stupport.”
